Just got back from a nice weeklong vacation, stayed away from watching the markets the whole time. I kept a handful of poots just for grins, and I was pleasantly surprised to see practically all of them were up 70% or more.

Except Microsoft, which went out on friday at the exact max-pain point. Monday I expect a bloodbath. A friend mentioned to me that microsoft would have been in SERIOUS cash troubles immediately on a truckload of march puts still left over from their 4 year-long put selling spree.

As an aside, the san francisco bay area real estate market is collapsing like tokyo in 1989. there are 5 houses/condos for sale on my block now that weren't when I left. riding around town i saw hundreds of "for sale" signs everywhere.. every freaking corner had at least two forsale signs.

The carnage is just starting, IMO.

Let the TL&EV begin. It's about damn time.
