i do. it depends on your definition of "directly."

companies are used to producing for a certain bubble corporate demand. that demand is shrinking big time. people get rifed. people that get rifed buy less. end demand gets reduced. people get rifed. they spend less. this is a negative spiral.

we have been on a financial crack induced positive spiral for so long that this negative spiral is going to be viscious. again, i hope i'm wrong. history shouts at me otherwise.

i consider myself to be a professional problem solver. as such, i always try and let the data speak to me rather than my hopes. hope for the best, expect the worst.
