Daryl,
Just a political comment taken from years of watching the political scene. Since Cheney's last event, folks now realize bush is in charge and many of them felt better about things when they thought Cheney et al were running the show. In those 2 weeks bush has gone back on a campaign pledge re: clean air and also went against Colin Powell on North Korea. Bush is not a moderate, but a conservative much more like Reagan than his dad. There is nothing wrong with. but to pull it off he needs more stature/charisma etc. Also the tax thing needs to be redefined as a recession fighter and to do that some of the more ambitious parts of it need to be scaled down or postponed unless his plan is to bite the bullet of recession in 2001 and bounce back in time for congressional elections in 2002. This concerns me greatly as this recession could become one that can spiral out of control. Mike
