South Africa's AngloGold Ltd said Friday it expects to post a 2.1% dip in gold production in 2001 to 7,089,000 ounces (220,523 kilograms) compared to 7,243,000 ounces (225,295 kg) in 2000 after selling its Deelkraal and Elandsrand operations. However, AngloGold marketing director Kelvin Williams told I-Net Bridge production was expected to pick up again with new projects and expansions over the next two years.

2.1% isn't much of a drop considering assets were sold and the last sentence is scary - new projects and expansion ??
