14 May: "Motorola, which has a nearly 25% stake in Iridium, said in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that it is boosting its guarantee of Iridium's bank financing by nearly 50% to $1.1 billion".

Okay, $2.6 bn plus $1.1 bn
= $3.7 bn
= enough to build the system.

Any other loans? If that is all, then the Iridium World shareholders aren't being charged any premium for their 8% shareholding. Why not?

Does all this make sense?
