Stephen T. McClellan, a computer-services analyst at Merrill Lynch, called the size of the (CSC) profit shortfall "a shocker" and lowered his recommendations on all of the computer-services companies that he tracks. "Demand for consulting is falling off a cliff. Pricing is plummeting," Mr. McClellan said.

Steve's a good guy but I never could understand why he was so bullish for CSC relative to EDS. Steve had a real problem with the previous EDS management and has not warmed up to the current group. So when his favorite CSC broadsided him with their warning, he reacted with a shotgun response. Full Disclosure (FD) must be working otherwise Steve is good enough to smell out what CSC did in advance. Steve if you are reading this, get to know the new EDS team a little better. I am very comfortable with them. Most of the old guys were my personal friends and your observations on their performance had a lot of merit but they are gone and there is a new team in place.
