The amusing thing is that the folks on the real "Ask Us..." thread were just going about our business, day in, day out and had nothing to do with the initiation of any of the ensuing debate.
The genesis of this tempest came about as other Silicon Investor members expressed their opinions about links to fee for service sites, and Jenna appears to have flipped out, drawing big rings of conspiracy in the air in her head.
As the controversy built its own head of steam, Jenna lashed out everywhere, even to me, and I've never posted to her thread or made an untoward comment of any kind. I suggested she take a step back and calm down.

Clearly she decided that wasn't a good course of action, and continued on her path of misdirected revenge. Shortly before she was suspended, I received another private message from her, to which I responded:

... will quickly be able to come to a conclusion as to what we are all about. Education and sharing - its always been that way.
Thanks to Jenna's tirades and those of her followers and individuals such as yourself, thousands upon thousands of individuals have now had the opportunity to follow the train of logic and come to their own conclusions. Some may come to conclusions that disagree with yours, or mine, but so be it.
In her case, Jenna has left a paper trail that any normal person might be woefully ashamed of.
In our case, we have no need to change or remove past posts because we carry ourselves with honour and dignity. |
