Your comments are perfectly true. On Saturday Brinker went over
the several "gifthorse" opportunities of the nineties, beginning
with December 1991 at Dow 2850, then April, June and November of
1994 around Dow 3600, then the infamous July 1996 gifthorse at
Dow 5350 to 5400, and of course the incredible early April
gifthorse present under Dow 6600. Also, he said the market had
more than tripled since autumn 1990 while his model remained
fully invested despite widespread bearishness at times. In his
opening comments he discussed the employment report of June at
great length, and also spent alot of time talking about the Intel
product transition of 1997 which he called one of the biggest in
corporate history. Saturday's show was a must listen for me.
