Cheapskate Alert, I know, I know, I sound like I own Bluefly. But, I'm just a happy customer. If you have ever wanted a superior quality suit, today and tomorrow may be your best time to buy one at a bargain. Bluefly has just placed half of their suit inventory in the "Clearance" section. Suits already discounted 50-70% have been knocked down another 20-40%. And, today and tomorrow, by using promotion code 2069 or 1287, you get another 20% discount off that. If you don't want a suit, it doesn't matter. But if you do, this rates in the too good to pass up category.
The brands in the Clearance Center are some of the best. Many wealthy men will wear nothing but Gianluca Isaia suits, and there are 6 of them in Clearance. Luciano Barbera is also one of the top designers in the world, rated above Armani and Zegna by The Robb Report, though he only has one suit in Clearance and it is neither my style nor my size (which is pup tent. Well, actually, Doberman Pinscher adult size tent. <g>). Both of these designers feature the fully functional sleeve buttons, which your tailor has to put on at about $5 a button. But you can impress a rube by leaving the last one on each sleeve unbuttoned (he'll probably think your suit is falling apart. <G>) Giovanni Vasta is not as famous as the two guys above, but his materials are second to none. Some say his suits are too "boxy," but I think they are great. There is also a Vestimenta suit available for somebody the right size. For those who don't know, Armani does not have a mfg. plant. Vestimenta makes the Armani-designed suits, and every Armani Black Label suit carries a tag that reads "Vestimenta Spa." Their own designs are pretty danged nice.
Lower priced but still excellent suits by Rene Lezard, Jhane Barnes, and Ralph Lauren Polo are also dirt cheap.
These are not seconds, though they are usually last year's models. But, with a timeless style, who cares about that? |
