res- The reason most on this thread don't like polls is that they hold extreme minority positions and the polls expose their judgement.
An interesting, albeit completely erroneous assumption.
Allow me to describe the holes....
- If we followed polls we would have passed term limits long ago. - If we followed polls we would have passed a balanced budget amendment. - If we followed polls, we would allow a moment of silent prayer in public schools. - If we followed polls, we would lower taxes dramatically. - If we followed polls, we would already have partial privatization of social security. - If we followed polls, we would cut government spending. - If we followed polls, condoms wouldn't be handed out in public schools. - If we followed polls, sex-education classes would have ended long ago in our public schools. - If we followed polls, "gay acceptance" classes would be banned in public schools. - If we followed polls, phonics would be in far greater use in our school system. - If we followed polls, violence in television would be severely limited. That's enough for now. The simple fact is Tiger, America is a conservative nation. The only ones who don't realize it are the media and Democratic politicians. If the media didn't pound the drum beat so loudly and spin every news story toward the liberal point of view, conservative politicians, like George W. Bush, would dominate the nation. |
