For a girl who digs Hard Rock and Heavy Metal...check out the band Kittie...Canadian teenage girls with some serious Metal in their blood...Well known album is Spit. Their best song, IMO, is brackish...very heavy, very cool.

Also: Slipknot, Disturbed, Static-X, Godsmack, Staind: these bands will wake you up in the morning.
