Help is on the way. On January 23, 2001, the March Contract for lumber closed at $202.60, a 10-year low. So when they say that low lumber prices hurt, they were not kidding. charts3.barchart.com (The March contract just expired). Look at the dramatic improvement in the recent price by looking at the May contract, which closed yesterday at $240.10 !
