Lots of these in sleepytime yet, it affects morale just as the weather is improving and spring projects start up and a person cares less about each tick, eh ... but who cares, there's value in them all and they'll all get run eventually ... the last one to make my target for selling two-thirds [~.70] will be ite.to, it could be a year from now, but i still like it, fond memories plus quality responsible management plugging away ... only have a bit anyway, what the hell.

tek.b.to - the two copper plays i follow closest, aur.to and ivn.to, have both sold off in recent days ... the ivn i'm right out of, sort of plan to look at it to assess fundamental value, maybe pick some back up at some point ... aur.to i understand thoroughly and always had it as a plan of many months or years maybe, only going to trade half or less, and nowhere near this level ... copper has powerful cycles and some companies give great leverage, Teck is more diversified than Aur but it is a quality outfit, makes a good keeper ... today's little bounce didn't violate the two-week trend so it looks iffy short-term maybe, but the two-week dip has not violated the five-month bull trend either ... if i had some i'd probably just sit on it for now.

gtt.v - early yet to write off the e-targetting thing imho ... but yes, then the Cariboo play ... i check iwa.v most days lately, it's not exactly weak ... they discredited themselves with that malarkey last year, but it's still prospective ground, lot of gold came out of those creeks years ago .... gtt plans on a serious effort there i hear, they have more in mind than just avoiding a change of business halt because of the WIBN property, they plan to remain a resource company and treat WIBN as a subsidiary asset.

scq.v - ouch ... you still got it? ... i would have expected more ... big Haywood cross on friday eh ... i wonder if a comparison might be made between the market perception of the Lundins and that of Hislop ... lack of trust partly, and an inability to predict the next move ... but they do both build shareholder value pretty well ... speaking of which, check out the news on tnk.to - market hardly reacted, i thought they looked like nice holes ... phnpi, yet.

qbx.v - 'incestuous hislop plays' - lol, exactly ... market just doesn't trust the man, a holding company discount of the size of qbx's is extreme ... even at the peak last year the market cap only got to around half of NAV, right? ... to play it you have to have some kind of faith that the discount will narrow at some point ... it would help if they'd run the sucker, lol.

axi.b.to - thought i made such a good buy averaging down just over a loonie in december ... aargh ... don't have a clue how to value it, went to the sedars in january and couldn't understand half the terms ... either somebody takes them over or they go belly-up, these seem to be the choices ... might have made its bottom last thursday, it's gambling but i think i'll add a few again.

cpt.v - matter of time ... could be a lot of time, but i see a good chance TC will make something out of this, and yes it could be big ... looking forward to FY00 Aprilish or so, 10k for ftut/SEG as well ... hey, name and ticker change coming up for ftut.otc-bb, i wonder what we'll get [royal 'we', i bought a few last week] ... there is no SEGE or SEGL according to Yahoo, could be either of those.

Pickup cancer - i can unload stuff through the holes in the corner of the cab now, it's really quite well ventilated ... wiring is the hard part to changing cabs, but i once knew a guy from Eastend Sask [which is, following saskatoba logic, on the western side of Sask] who would change the wiring in his pickup [singular, he only ever had one, a '49 something, GMC i think] every seven or eight years ... the whole harness, everything ... of course this was easier to do before they made them so complicated ... well i'm just going to haywire and duct tape mine until the cpt ship comes in and it's time to hitchhike around the world with a credit card and a passport ... the lighter you travel the better you live, and wheels are heavy, they tie you down.

PoG back to 263 - kitco.com ... i'm watching lease rates daily now - kitco.com

xcl.to - this one has really sold off, i see no reason why ... didn't notice either, don't watch it every day ... phpi, and in love a little as well ... it's had kind of a range for over two years now, high .teens to ~.40, i think it could break out of that this year with some drillbit activity, and a PoG rally wouldn't hurt either.

Greenspan - made some mistakes in tightening too late too hard maybe, but what can he do, it's mass psychology, the herd veers off one way then it veers off the other, one lone cowboy riding around trying to swing it is going to take some time ... we're still human, the technology will speed up a lot of things in business, but it's not going to change basic natural animal fear/greed rhythms ... we are who we are ... anyway, long as Dubya keeps the rabid hawks in check and doesn't start up a war, we'll come through and smell the opportunity roses on the way.

sto.v - got some excerpts from their sedars to paste in next post ..... cheers
