Point taken. And no, I'm not too excited about the book value thing. However, goodwill does have resale value, if it comes to that, particularly when there is an installed base of clients who use the products that were sold to them. The only time goodwill doesn't have a resale value is if there is no "goodwill" between clients and the company. IMO.
