DenverTechie- I think it's almost a given that the caps will be lifted. With the new FCC staff in place (Bush appointed) it's pretty much a done deal. I think ATT may be re-thinking their split-up plans right now. Maybe having a lot of talks with Malone (the real pain for Armstrong) trying to convince him that ATT LD and Broadband should remain the same company. That's my guess. If I'm right, should be very good for cable telephony rollouts.

We hear of the triple play often. Well with long distance voice, local voice, video, and data, one could coin the term "Grand Slam" of the wired world. Talk about a way to bring churn down to about zero.

As you know, I'm of the opinion the FCC should kiss the feet of Armstrong. Maybe the new staff will. ATT is the only real competition for the twisted pair and it's what the 1996 Telecom Act has needed since 1996. -MikeM(From Florida)
