BIOS
Basic Input Output System
It's the ROMS or, in the case of flashable, EPROMS.
You know when you press <del> or <esc> to get to
setup on your machine as it boots up, that's BIOS.
ROM stands for Read Only Memory and EPROM is Erasable
Progamable Read Only Memory.
That statement from whoever you got at Dell Tech is BULL.
Call back and ask for a supervisor not some $5/hour
tecno-fool.
One of the senior techs will be able to help you.
If you can't get there - go back to sales and start
bitching. That always gets results.
