I will probably be sitting on my hands until sometime after the Fed announcement. On the futures, and I'm sure its no different on QQQ etc, they'll jam price above and below the day's range to that time, overshooting in minutes or seconds and clearing all the stops.

Most players that take a position just before the announcement get killed on these, especially if they have stops in place for risk management. And people that don't use stops are good fodder.

Its pretty hard to game, so I don't bother trying. But right after some semblence of normalcy returns, there are frequently good opportunities. I tend not to hold anything overnight on FOMC days however. Depends on how much distance is away from entry...

... I think today's action might even set new records for nuttyness!
