i agree...imo the threat of foreign repatriation of funds is a very real, and great one. foreigners are sitting on a MOUNTAIN of claims on the US. eventually some rats will jump ship, and that'll be that. note that the EU, for all its shortcomings, has instituted what for it is a pretty fast pace of reform. also EU citizens are not as exposed to equities as US citizens are...it's a disadvantage during a bull market, but it helps cushion the negative wealth effect during bear markets.
