i know a little bit about it, but not much. it's true though that the collapse of Credit-Anstalt Bankverein was a seminal event in the global depression of the thirties. funny enough, just prior to the collapse, the bank offered von Mises a job. he declined, as he expected the collapse, and didn't want to be associated with it in any way.
