I have learned to use the internet to get actual released info as soon as possible and make my own decisions based on info which I can consider factual not hype or others intuition and recommendations. After a while you learn who to tune out and who seems to have the goods. By the way you are in the latter.

You have to march to your own drummer and not follow the hype which gets generated on these threads.

I would certainly give the entertainment value higher rating than the investment acumen of many particpants. IMO those doing extreemely well in their investments are probably not bothering with these threads.
