I would watch the action closely as the end of the trading day approaches. It will be interesting to see if some big money steps up. If they continue to sit on the sidelines, I would hang onto your shorts...the trend is your friend.

One note: the farther along in the easing cycle the more you want to be careful not to fight the FED. I don't buy into the notion that the FED doesn't have the tools to fight a recession. I also think that they are very careful not to upset the balance in a single bold move. It wouldn't surprise me to see an intermeeting cut if the market stays weak over the next month or so. Earning season should be fun to watch. There will be plenty of downside misses and a lot more 'future uncertainty'.
