Quantum DLT (DSS) 11.91 -0.54: Company warns for Q4, revenues expected to decline approximately 20% from Q3's $369.27 mln; EPS to be $0.20-0.22 vs consensus mean estimate of $0.24. DSS cites general slowdown in IT spending; see press release.

Qualstar (QBAK) 6 1/2 -3/16: Company warns for Q3; sees EPS of $0.11-0.12; current EPS estimate is $0.19; expects revenues to be $11.4-12.4 mln, or approximately 20% to 25% below previous guidance. Cognex Corp (CGNX) 21 7/16 -7/16: Company warns for Q1; sees revenues of $42-45 mln and EPS of $0.10-0.13 vs consensus mean of $0.17. Company cites delays and cutbacks in capital equipment spending by manufacturers in the semiconductor and electronics industries, as well as a slowdown in orders from customers in a variety of industries whose businesses are being impacted by the softening economy; see press release.
