AMD would be a fool to rest on their laurels made on the Desktop.
Supposedly Athlon was designed for up to 14 way SMP. That was two years ago. Just now we are seeing 2 way SMP. What major vendor will commit to AMD if they have only 2 way? Even Dell offers 4 way servers. If they need to offer 4 way and up they might just stick with Intel.

Hard for me to believe that AMD would purposefully slow the introduction of notebook chips while Intel takes 95% of the market.
