Hey scoob,
That's cool, man - this is a place for opinions and differences of them are what makes the thread fun. I would say that, yeah, you're right: I'll bet that Lewis probably isn't "afraid" of Tyson...right now. How he feels right before the bell rings in Round 1 of Lewis-Tyson is another story, and how he handles it will dictate the course of the fight.
He's probably frustrated and wants to get it over with because of the payday it represents (win or lose, to both fighters, I might add) and the fact that the winner - especially if decisive - will be fixed in history. Either Lewis, for adding one of the more feared heavyweights of our time to his list of vanquished foes, or Tyson for making an 11 year return to the belt and possibly (if Ruiz is still the WBA champ) unifying the title once again. I remember Lewis-Bruno as I do both times that Tyson destroyed Bruno, including one of the times he was defending the Unified belt in 1988? Bruno actually staggered Tyson with a huge, solid left in the second round, and Tyson plastered him in the third.
I'll stick with Tyson versus Lewis, because I think Tyson has speed enough to get inside, power enough to smash Lewis' already suspect jaw, and the intimidation factor heavily in his favor.
But either way, I'm looking forward to just seeing it.
At this point - among the other great fights coming - a heavyweight blowout this weekend, Delahoya vs. Gatti, Barrera vs. Hamed, Tszyu vs. Judah, Trinidad vs. Joppy, maybe Jones vs. Michelzcewski, Tyson vs. Izon - that I'm wondering now how Lewis will handle Rahman on April 21st. I really don't doubt that he'll win, but I'm wondering if he'll make a statement early (as he did with Grant, perhaps to make a statement to Tyson) or take his time, as with Holyfield and Tua.
