I think the bulk of these people held. -ng

My history prof and advisor used to have an expression that went something like "You can not swim in shit and not end up smelling bad." to describe the fundamental notion that you are affected by your surroundings. I think most of them actually believed the hype for much of the ride and, in any case, chances are excellent that they do not have a decent grounding in long-term market history.
