Hmmm. Well, I think it partially has to do with his fighting style. I think he's boring to watch, a little awkward, and with the exception of his demolishing of Grant, pretty laid back. As I mentioned yesterday, I'm really interested in seeing how he fights, both in quality and style, against Rahman.
Now, that said, and as I've mentioned before: he wins fights, and that's fine. But I don't like watching it, and I think that against the right competitor...which, similar to Ruiz, is increasingly everyone in line...it'll fail miserably.
I also think, as I've said many a time, that he's got one of the weakest chins in the heavyweight biz. The one time it was tested by absorbing a solid, undeflected shot - sent by Oliver "NB" McCall, not a sterling fighter by any measure - he was wrecked. Floored & visibly rocked, enough so that the ref stopped the fight. I think that if Kirk Johnson, Clifford Etienne, or any of the other maniacs out there landed a solid one, he'd either be counted out at ten on the floor OR get an eight count and then literally run away (a la Delahoya in the last three rounds versus Trinidad) to make the bell.
I'd get into the "who has he fought?" argument, but that applies to many fighters these days. Lewis, Tyson, Holyfield, and Tua before his recent loss to Lewis are all tuning up against the lower ranked offerings, so there's no point in raising that issue.
