i agree...but first the current wave structure has to be completed. at a MINIMUM i would like to see the Dow sporting an 8 handle, however briefly.

this bear market is a serious affair...i don't think it will truly end before 2002/3. and no downside target strikes me as too outlandish...just as the bull market went a lot further than anyone expected, this bear is destined to repeat the feat on the downside.

show me failed financial institutions, one or two or more BIG mufus closing their doors for good...and i'll consider that THE bottom might be near. the excessive optimism (btw. , Investors Int. bulls rose to over 51% again, and bears fell to slightly above 30%) seen in the blow-off stage of the bull should eventually be replaced with a mirror image in the form of absolutely BLEAK and ABJECT pessimism...only when HOPE is finally destroyed THE bottom will be close.
