Thanks for your post Dennis. I am trying to pry loose an ongoing malaise in the form of self-pity, or at least something close to that. Having at least one sign that treatment was/will be successful, I now have to adjust to opening a new chapter in my life. The new chapter is being written now. It's main plot is life without the ongoing consternation of being a "cancer patient". I am learning that I have to be more demanding of myself than others are. I spent my first FULL 8 hour days at work last week. I COULD have easily taken sick pay and left nearly everyday with some legitimate complaints. Fact is I have to get on with a normal life. Laying around the house no longer helps anything. I took my son camping this weekend, even though I ALMOST opted out for the excuse that I was in too much discomfort....that's what it would have been, an excuse. All these unexpected trials....I am being tested more psychologically now than I was during the last 3 months. My obsessive posting on SI over the last few weeks has helped me AVOID certain issues and served as an enjoyable distraction, now I have to put this in it's proper place as well.
