Don, ho ho ho...indeed. i frankly doubt that what passes nowadays for economic analysis can be put in the same sentence with the word 'thought'. most of it is drivel that never penetrates the surface of things to any appreciable degree. there are of course a few notable exceptions to this, but the majority of economists gets lost in meaningless equations and fails to see the forest for the trees.
