<<unprofitable companies will cease to exist, as they always do.... >>

Pretty vague, ed. Are you saying that all companies start out profitable? Surely not. In fact, most start out losing money, before getting out of the red and into the black. You make excellent points...always do.....about pe's, valuations, profitability and etc, ect, which I would not, and cannot dispute, because you are 100% correct.....but you must admitt, that many companies do not start outmaking a profit, they have to work to achieve that, and finding a company prior to it's sucess can sometimes be quite rewarding, just as one going bankrupt can be quite devastating. I guess my point is simply, that not everybody starts out with a profit....some lose before they make. Not all losers will become winners, but some will. Part of investing is trying to locate the winners before they become winners. I am not invested in icge because it used to be $200 and is now $2...I am invested in icge because I believe they can be sucessful. I will be either right or wrong on icge.........but there are many companies out there....may of them are losing money...losing big money....many of those companies will survive and prosper. I am not advocating running out and buying losers, just pointing out that not everybody is born a winner and sometimes you must lose some tough battles before you finally win........

Happy trading

Keith....gone for the night.....lets see what the blue collar crowd at the bolwing alley has to say tonight<ggg>
