Capt: The fed can no longer be blamed for the current continuing meltdown. The responsibility rests squarely on the shoulders of the gumptionless(is that a word? I don't know but I LIKE IT!)institutions, money managers, and individual investors who are standing on the sidelines with their hands full of $$$ and their heads up their butts. When the mms realize that their sole mission is to make money for their clients and the individual investors decide that 4% cds don't get it, we will the markets recover.
After all, they loved INTC @ 75, adored MSFT @ 120, and worshipped CSCO @ 78. Sure, these companies aren't posting the earnings that they previously had but they are still the bellwether blue-chippers that they had been and will certainly recover.
This is the buying opportunity of a lifetime and when my cash comes in next week, I'M BUYING!
The feds have lowered the rate 1 1/2 points in less than 90 days and that tells me that I DON'T WANT MY $$ IN CDS!
Buy low, sell high and if this ain't low, I don't know what is.
Watch some genius, like Abby or Ralph, on WS come forward soon and proclaim the market and/or the techs to be oversold.
Sure stocks could go lower but I think you stole a line from WS icon Bernard Baruch when you said that you didn't want to buy at the bottom or sell at the top but that you'd take the part out of the middle and be happy.
Now's the time!
I'm going to bookmark this post and repost it in 6 months!
