I put my objections to the FED's actions here last May and June.

The fed just plain got it wrong then. They overshot the mark. By at least 1/2 point. That was 'cause they pumped too much $ into the economy to offset the Y2K effect that wasn't. The data last May said 'do nothing'. I said then that if they didn't cut the rate by October/November that there was going to be big trouble.

We got big trouble.

If the FED cuts rates too fast now we're going to have bigger trouble.

The markets like stability. This jerking around of the interest rate is going to kill the market, IMO. (But I do think they could have gone more this time around.)
