Earlie, speaking of deflationary spirals, I'm toying with the idea of buying a house here in Vancouver but I am spooked about owning ANY assets right now. As I'm sure you know, Vancouver hasn't had much part of the boom over the last 5 years....mainly because we don't have any industries!<ng> Property has come down a but since the Asian invasion of the early nineties but not that much in the city (where I'd be buying). We seem to have our own economic cycles in Van, maybe more tied to the Asian cycles.

I guess I'm looking for some free financial advice. And no leaky condo jokes s'il vous plait!<g>
