Good luck to both of us then....

Actually all things being equal techs looked good today. As a group they made a new lows, but considering that the Dow made a new significant 52 week low the fact that many big name techs were positive was very impressive. I almost closed 1/2 my short before the close, but guess I got greedy. When Amat didn't sell off further that should have been a clue. Amat is up afterhours to 45 3/4, but these days that doesn't mean much.

Thank you for the advice on charting Amat with a 20/35/50 dma...I'll give it a try.

AMAT chart

207.61.23.98

Still don't see what's so bullish. Please explain the signifance of the cross-overs if any. Maybe it's late and I'm just not looking close enough.

Amat tested resistance, but closed below it. A close below 43 again might signal a move down to 35 again (April?)
