Motorola is soon to take the wraps off what is promised to be a satellite-based broadband data distribution system and architecture that the company believes will pose a serious threat to Bill Gates' and Craig McCaw's much touted Teledesic. This is the CDMA system they announced 9 months ago. So much for Iridium other than as a transient service to be replaced by a Motorola CDMA system in the next millenium
