Interesting post from Win Smith ... has P4 ASP data...

---Data??? This is not "Data" at all.... Speculation maybe, but certainly not data....... Let's look at this so called "Data.....

So, this is the Frank Frank Völkel article that showed up in German a few weeks ago. Probably toned down a bit at the good Dr's request. But this time, checking in on pricewatch, I see that something like Voekel's $272 deal for P4+128mb drdram + fan is actually available. It's something like $360/370 vs. $272, but it's certainly possible that Intel is giving the OEMs a $272 package deal. Pricewatch shows the cheapest pc800 64mb rdram at $67, and P4 fans are supposed to cost $30 or so, so Intel may actually be selling the super-sized P4 for $100 or so.

On price/performance, I assume a ghz Athlon on a kt133a board w/PC133 is probably at least equivalent performance and still considerably cheaper, but this bears watching

--- "Something Like", "Certainly Possible", "Supposed To Cost", "May Actually", "I Assume", and "Is Probably", doesn't sound like data to me at all. Sounds like lots of AMDroid BS Speculation.

Still down there sliming around in the mud eh Dan???
