Cell message to forward

I thought sectorizing and power control was to
improve the 7 cell resuse pattern, not to divide
by 9 and 12 intstead of a basic 7??
(for example 3 cell clusters and hierarchical
design)

Maybe it this thing with power control and soft
handoff statistics, Q has always had a problem
with more than one user.

The traffic channel is obviously a problem if one
only has 2 channels, really stupid, although one still
can make business on SMS messages and CNBC-UK-style
WAP.

Jus as bad as evenly spreading, no frequency diversity CDMA
when some spuriously overloaded Ruch Limbaugh AM station
sets up a finger in the middle of the bandwidth.
(while multicarrier, FDMA GSM just switches to another
carrier, except if there is only two and a fixed
firmware plan)

Ilmarinen.

P.S. As well as matters like classic and compact EDGE
patterns, synchronizing time slots, using empty
slots when the speaker doesn't speak, etc, all kind of
of post graduate GSM things, nothing for first grader
with an officially advertised target of 80kbps.

P.P.S. For those who want to read more, a search on
"GSM reuse cell sector" should get some academic hits,
as well as Lucent, Motorola, AT&T

google.yahoo.com

To pick some of the first hits, maybe start with

privateline.com
wwwtvs.et.tudelft.nl

and end with
