I think a particularly good example are the parasitic wasps that lay their eggs in caterpillars and then eat the caterpillar up while it is alive. They leave the head alone- so it can keep them alive until the larvae are mature. That doesn't really seem "just" or "fair" to me. Of course I think those words are pretty silly outside of the human realm of ideals, so it's no wonder the animal kingdom isn't just and fair.
