John, One possibility of pairing Palomino with 760 MP IMO is that maybe 760 MP has PowerNow, while none of the existing chips do (I don't know about ALI). KT-266 may have PowerNow support as well. One question I have is if Palomino can work on just any Socket A board without PowerNow enabled. Joe
