Bill. This is really a debacle again today but it is certainly better right now than a cpl of minutes ago. The DOW gained almost 100 points back and the NAS is in the green at this time, by a fraction. It probably will have changed by the time I finish writing this.

I have been in the market since the 70's and I have never seen anything like this. 87 looks like a walk in the park.
Some of the techs have stopped bleeding a bit. It looks like the NAS is trying to make a bottom but a lot of these analysts are looking for 1500 to 1700 and once we would get there, you get the drift. I can do the same guessing. Yesterday I heard that the DOW could maybe go as low as 9100, today they talking about 9000 and tomorrow it will be the deep blue sea. Do we really need those analysts giving us a step by step description? They are fueling the decline also. Blodget of MER now has stock ratings of: NO OPINION. Have you ever heard of anything like that? Sheesh. But like I said above: It's probably better when those guys admit that they have no more clues than we have.

I am not selling my techs. Too darn low at this time. Dell and Intc are holding in there. Even Rmbs is having a pretty good day today, so far. But WCOM is doing poorly again and this after B. Ebbers said he feels good about the outlook for WCOM. I am ready to take an offer at 30 but Ebbers is probably not. Just as well, I guess. gg. And who would buy right now? Who has the money?

QCOM is on a roller coaster ride lately. I am itching to buy something but this stuff will probably get worse. I sure hope I am wrong. I mean, how low can some of those techs go? Merck and Amgen going downhill fast also. I am looking at PFE again. A lot of nice stocks to buy at bargain prices. After all, one of these days we will get out of this mess. The economy WILL pick up again one of these days. The GOV of VA said last night that he can already see a little pick up in Va. Maybe things will turn around sooner than expected. Sigh. Too bad a lot of cos. have no visibility. Have you ever seen them talking like this before? I heard of slowdowns but visibility?

I wonder what would happen if we all sold our stocks. A lot of the funds seem to be doing it. My Janus is doing worse than I am.

Sonny
