The California electricity situation is a lot like the market....most know enough to have some pretty badly formed opinions; and few are patient enough to read the small print. History will show that greed was the basis for this. And it will be a large nail in the coffin of the misguided concept that natural public monopolies should be open to 'competitive' game playing and not subject to firm government control. The tax payer has paid for this farce and there are companies that have reaped criminal profits. Time will catch up with the thieves.
