Comments on today's developments:

1. The significance of the 1.3 and 1.33 Ghz release in itself is greatly overshadowed by the tremendous over clocking ability of the C stepping. Due to this over clocking ability, demand for the chip will be very high, its price will not be discounted by much, and it will enhance ASP nicely.

2. Given the above, AMD is absolutely making the right tactical decision by delaying the desktop Palomino launch. Dresden has limited capacity. It only makes sense to target limited Palomino supplies at high margin markets until Palomino ramps to volume.

3. There has been a lot of discussion on the thread about the larger cache Palomino mentioned in the CNet article. Just because a CNet author mentioned that the dual processor version will have larger cache, it does not mean that it is true. This guy could simply have said that due to what his prior understanding of what the sever version (Mustang) was to entail. I am doubtful that we will see a larger cache version.

4. The positive press today (sans CNBC) has been nothing short of phenomenal.

5. Their has not been a single positive day in the Dow in 2001 on a Friday, and only a single positive Friday for the Nasdaq (at least I think that's what CNBC said the other day). We could break that trend tomorrow.

6. Intel is screwed.

7. My April calls are looking good!

Pravin.
