Ted Re.When we didn't like the way we were being taxed, we thru tea in a city harbor.<<<<<<
Nice try, but what vote did we overturn there.
When we thought that slavery violated our constitution, we went to war with our neighbors. <<<<<<
Nice try, but the civil war started over a dispute over states rights. The emancipation proclamation came only after the battle at Gettysburg.
When women felt the law re voting was unfair, they took to the streets <<<>>>>
That one is close, but the womans sufferage movement came about not because of a disputed vote, but because women didn't have a vote.
When blacks wanted the yoke of oppression lifted, they protested. When Americans felt we were in an unjust war, they marched.<<
Once again, these were disputes over policy, not the outcome of a vote. In elections we have historically not disputed the outcome of an honest election. When you consider the number, less than 1 percent of elections are disputed, and even then after a winner is chosen in court, the loser rarely keeps on whining about it. Name me one previous election where the loser kept on whining about it ad nausem. You can probably count the number of times on one hand. |
