canmar, who knows! I can't short so I play the daily bounce, pops and rallies in this down market on NT. My guess is that because futures rallied it took others with it. Perhaps buy programs cut in which set off some short covers. Havn't calculated the avg trade size today. That should give you an idea if it was institions buying. I suspect we get profit taking and shorts after the open tomorrow morning. BWDIK
