Instead of 'It seems that the R's in Congress think drilling in ANWR is Bush bullshit.' I think I'd have said something like 'It seems that some R's in Congress think drilling in ANWR is political poison for them.' But what the heck, that's what differences of opinion are made of.

I remain convinced that ANWR should be drilled, at least for exploration, but can recognize other opinions can be founded in good faith.

I do think, however, that the Alaskan opinion should count strongly in the final result.

I liked the line 'There are some other ways to skin the cat' and would add that the cat is unlikely to approve of any of them.
