donald sew (and horsegirl148),
Afraid I am going to have to weigh in here on all the CROW BASHING that's going around here on the SA II thread.
How awful that you people can be blaming such intelligent creatures for all the misfortune of misguided tech bubble lovers!

Have we no love for our fellow creatures and feathered friends????

Actually, I'm just kidding, and perhaps the oriental viewpoint on crows could excuse some of my trading history as we have a small flock in our back yard, perhaps I could claim them as a business expense, VBG. While we live out in the country and I could legally literally expend some lead in their direction during open season, I do not, as these crows provide a valuable service to other inhabitants of our property.

We have a pond and a flock of mallard ducks that have "gone domestic". Kids used to love raising their little ones (long story, but if you don't incubate the eggs, the possums will eat them) and they have become pets. But the ducks are subject to heavy predation by hawks, owls and foxes. The crows serve as "guardian angels" for the ducks, both sounding the alarm for hawks or foxes and doing a pretty good job of chasing them away. So for the ducks at least, the crows are good luck indeed.
With owls the ducks are on their own till I get the crows night vision goggles, LOL.

It's interesting to see the Black Crow Candles serve a similar service for traders and investors.

BTW
If I had a video of this I would have made a mint. One balmy spring day the ducks were sleeping in the field next to the pond and the crows were perched quietly in the trees about a hundred yards away. I was outside sitting quietly enjoying the spring sun myself. Crows kept watching the ducks, looking bored almost. Suddenly the crows all took flight quietly (that's unusual) and came swooping down on the sleeping ducks, knocked them over like bowling pins and then flew off cawing loudly and gleefully, obviously saying GOTCHA!

Best example of animal mischief I've ever seen in person and one that put me in stitches at the time!

Best Regards and keep up the good work,

Roebear
