OPTN, some basic info here

Option Care is a national provider of infusion therapies and other home healthcare services. It is a unique network of approximately 130 franchised and company owned locations operating in 34 states. The Option Care network allows the company to combine the critical mass of a national home healthcare company with the quality, contacts and knowledge that only a local provider can offer. The company built its network by franchising and acquiring local infusion therapy companies that earned quality reputations in their markets. Option Care continually works to expand network capabilities.

Option Care was established in 1979 in Chico, California as a venture between a hospital pharmacist, a retail pharmacist and a local hospital. The company was incorporated in California in January 1984. In April 1992, Option Care, Inc. went public with an initial stock offering and is currently traded on the NASDAQ.

By 1996, Option Care had acquired ten infusion pharmacies with revenues of more than $20 million and acquired Management By Information, Inc. — a leading software company provider to the home infusion and homecare industry. A year later, the company acquired eight additional infusion pharmacies and total revenues reached $100 million. System-wide annual billings exceeded $279 million by 1997-1998. National Option Care programs include disease management programs for human growth hormone, transplant patients and congestive heart failure. These programs compliment Option Care’s existing capabilities to provide care services.

Option Care, Inc. is a corporate member of the National Home Infusion Association (NHIA).
