PCCW Subsidiary To Partner With Chinese Government Invested Company By Kristian Kender Managing Editor, asia.internet.com [March 22] PCCW has announced a deal by its B2B horizontal electronic marketplace, MartPOWER to link its electronic trading platform with that of ChinaECNet, a B2B exchange for Mainland buyers and international sellers of electronics components. The two platforms are slated to be linked by the middle of this year. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. ChinaECNet is partially owned by a subsidiary organization within China's Ministry of Information Industries called the China Center of Information Industry Development (CCID). The platform has around 30,000 registered users. The Ministry of Information Industries is the regulator for China's IT and telecoms industries. CCID's partner in ChinaECNet is New York based Avnet Inc., an electronic component distributor itself. asia.internet.com
