Geez, can all of the reasonable people on this thread please agree that Stalinist Communism is as far from the Democratic Party as Hitler Nazism is from the Republican Party? This argument of who is 'closer' is one of the silliest and least productive argument that exist. I think Pat Buchanan is about as far right as any 'reasonable' political figure, and he is light years away from Hitler. Similarly, you need to agree that Jerry Brown is as far from Stalin. Besides, there's enough to argue in the accepted framework of differences... :)
