My argument is nothing like your statement: "Your argument is akin to closing all fire stations in the country and promoting fire sprinklers and combustion-proof materials in all buildings. Eventually, it may work, but a lot of houses will burn down in the meantime." If we really did "a multi-pronged approach to solving this problem: education, drug enforcement, restoration of ethics, better support for working families" then you would not be railing against us law abiding citizens who do want the ability to protect ourselves. The dem platform encourages dangerous behavior that leads to the killings, and they want to solve them by taking away our rights to protect ourselves from them. Don't make sense to me.
